Sometimes we forget.
Sometimes we are working so hard to get what we think we want, that we lose sight of why we wanted it in the first place.
We’ve been told that giving up is failure. We’ve been taught to hold on tightly to everything that we have while grasping for more. We’ve been told that there is freedom and happiness waiting for us just beyond the bend.
But what if they’re wrong?
What if happiness actually come from having less instead of getting more? What if there is freedom in saying “No” and refusing to accept our assigned place in society?
What if instead of working our ass off to build (or buy) a set of wings, we simply need to let go of all of the emotional and cultural baggage that is currently weighing us down?
