Speak your Mind

Quiet people have loudest minds

The perks of being a wallflower

For whatever reason, there seems to be this perception in our culture that those who know speak up, while those who don’t stay silent. In other words, the loudest bird not only gets the worm, but it also gets the money, fame, and recognition too.

The only problem is that it’s not true.

Sure the noisy bird may initially get the attention, but over time, people get tired of listening to the noise and they eventually move on to something else.

These days you don’t have to act like an obnoxious used-car dealer in order to get people’s attention, you just need to have something to say that’s worth listening to.

Now having said that, you may have to repeat yourself along the way.

Unfortunately, we live in a society where everyone and everything seems to be screaming to get your attention. So you not only have to have something worthwhile to say, but you may have to say it over and over and over until your message gets noticed.

Now I’m not suggesting that you just keep repeating yourself endlessly like some deranged parrot. What I’m talking about is consistency. You not only need to get your creative work out there, but you need to keep doing it again and again until your audience can find you and spread the word.

So keep talking and we’ll find you!
