Looking like an idiot
Let’s face it, nobody likes to screw up
If we had our choice, we would probably avoid it at all costs.
Unfortunately that’s not the way the world works. Sooner or later we’re going to make mistakes and things are going to get messy.
So the real question is not whether or not it’s going to happen, but what you’re going to do about it when it does.
It’s all part of the show
Those of you who have been on stage before know what I’m talking about.
If you’ve ever done any type of performance in front of a live audience, you understand that mistakes are going to happen. You also understand, that no matter what happens, the show must go on.
There are no do-overs on stage. If you screw up, you simply ignore it and keep going.
In fact, the worst thing you can do on stage is to stop.
Any musician, actor, or performer will tell you that if you keep going the audience will probably never know, but if you stop, everyone will notice.
So if you stumble, you simply have to make it part of the dance.
