Never be afraid to do what’s right

Rosa Parks Quote

Sooner or later there comes a time when you’ve had enough.

Enough of their intimidation. Enough of their expectations. Enough of the status quo.  Enough of them trying to convince us that their way is always right and your way is wrong.

It doesn’t matter if we are talking about our classmates, our co-workers, or even our friends — the only way things will change is when we finally get tired of giving in.  When the pain of not changing becomes far greater than anything they could possibly do to us.

At that moment, it’s time to speak up. It’s time to change things. It’s time to stand up and do what’s right even if it might be against the rules. As Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Society’s punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way.”

“The only tired I was, was tired of giving in.”
