RSS is what?!
What the heck is RSS?
RSS is way cooler than you think. The fact that your sitting here reading this page tells me that you’ve probably heard of RSS or maybe you have seen some of those weird looking orange RSS symbols like the one sitting over there. But what exactly is RSS and why should anyone care?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and is one of those technologies like Tivo or Redbox that seemed a little weird and unecessary at first, but after you’ve used it a few times, you’ll probably start to wonder how you lived without it. Don’t get me wrong, RSS isn’t going to change your life, but if you use it, it can save you some serious time.
All you need to use RSS is a RSS reader and some interesting stuff on the web that you’d like to read (like Skinny Artist for example :)) In fact, you may already have an RSS reader and not even know it. Have a Gmail address? Have a Yahoo e-mail address? Do you use Firefox? Then congratulations, you already have a RSS reader ready to go!
Here are some of the most popular web-based RSS readers currently out there:
Now if you’re feeling brave and you think that you’re ready to dip your toe into the RSS waters, just click any of the links above or use this link to choose your own RSS reader Subscribe to Skinny Artist by RSS
