It’s too easy these days to conform, to fall in line, and be the person they want us to be.
These days with the internet and social media sites like Facebook and Twitter, we are more connected than ever with mass marketed culture and expectations. There is also another side to this story, however, which is the opportunity to connect with others like us who don’t feel like they belong.
Those who don’t neatly fit into the place that has been assigned to them. The freaks, the outcasts, or the stubborn ones who simply say I refuse to play by your rules any longer. These online communities have given us the opportunity find the support and the encouragement to follow our own path.
Even though we may not always follow the rules, that doesn’t mean that we want to do it alone.
