Every month here on Skinny Artist we plan on bringing you a new featured artist and have them sit down and talk to us for a few minutes about their experiences working as a creative professional. We’ll talk about their work, some of the biggest challenges they have faced, lessons they have learned along the way, as well as explore some of the tools they are currently using to market their work. We think that this will be a great way to meet some incredible new artists and learn some valuable information along the way.
If you think that you might be interested in becoming one of our featured artists and sharing your story with us, we would love to hear from you! We are hoping to eventually have artists from every creative field featured on these pages. So whether you are a visual artist, photographer, writer, musician, composer, or any other kind of creative artist in between, we would really enjoy having you share your story and experiences with us.
Some of you may already know our very first Featured Skinny Artist: Char Reed from Twitter, Facebook, DeviantART, or from one of her daily Ustream casts where she generously shares her creative process with the world. We were privileged enough to have the opportunity to sit down with Char and talk about her art and how her approach to it has changed over the years. She also talked about some of the marketing techniques and tools she uses as well as how she uses her blog to connect with other artists and potential customers.
